I guess I'm overdue for an update considering the World Cup finished about half a year ago.  So here goes: Last night, there was a power outage on campus.  It was from about 5AM to 7AM.  How do I know the time that the power went off?  It woke me up.  True story. I was sleeping with the left side of my head against my pillow and then all of a sudden, there was this really loud, shrill sound in my left ear.  Not in my right ear, which was open to the room.  My left ear.  The one that was buried in the pillow.  And the sound was almost painful.  It was like when your ears ring, but a hundred times louder.  Thankfully, it didn't last long.  I

Whether or not you’re a soccer fan, I’m sure by now you’ve heard about the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa.  This tournament, like every tournament, had its beautiful goals, questionable refereeing, winners, losers, and major upsets; but there was something special about this tournament. I noticed it immediately, with the opening ceremony/concert for the tournament.  Yes, I skipped prom to watch it – and in a way, I’m glad I did.  The concert was beautiful.  Performers among the likes of K’naan, Shakira, Alicia Keys, John Legend, the Black Eyed Peas, and others from various countries truly brought the world

I am not impressed... and I feel the need to tell someone about it. My cell phone charger has gone missing and I really need to charge my phone - and I don't even use it that much.  I am not impressed. I decided not to go on the bio field trip coming up on Tuesday, because I work every Tuesday... except this one.  I am not impressed.
